Istanbul 8000 Years Brought to Daylight

Documents belonging to the exhibition which was opened to bring together unearthed movable cultural assets found during archeological excavations and excavations in Üsküdar, Sirkeci and  Yenikapı since 2004, Sultanahmet Old Prison Area since 1997 by Directorate of Istanbul Archaeological Museums within the scope of Istanbul Marmaray and Metro projects with the public and to introduce Istanbul’s history, were gathered in a book called “Istanbul 8000 Years Brought to Daylight: Marmaray, Metro, Sultanahmet Excavations”.

Voluminous exhibition catalog which sheds light upon the development of Istanbul’s 8.000 years of cultural life and contains artifacts from the time frame stretching from Prehistoric Ages to the Ottoman Period was published with the help of Vehbi Koç Foundation.
